  • WHAT CATEGORIES OF DOMESTIC AND HOME-CARE WORKERS DOES CORALWORKER HAVE ON THE PLATFORM?

    We have all categories of workers in the domestic and home-care sector:
    Professional Chefs, Nannies, Housekeepers, Drivers, Security guards, Stewards, Omugo Nannies, Housekeepers, Baby sitters, Cooks, Continental and local food categories and so much more

  • HOW LONG ARE WORKERS REQUIRED TO WORK FOR | COMMIT TO ?

    Most employers will require workers to commit for a minimum of 1-3 years. Especially those in categories such as Nanny, Housekeeper, steward, Tutor, Chef, Driver job roles etc . This is usually required by employers to help the children or those in the household get used to one person for a fixed period of time .

  • I NEED A PART TIME JOB, HOW DO I GO ABOUT THIS?

    •About 95% of employers on our platform require workers who are full time live-in or live-out workers. There are those who hire workers for just weekends or 3 days in a week, but this would be about 5- 10% of employers on the platform.
    About 90% or more require full-time committed workers who can work for a minimum of 1-3 years, on a full time employment.
    If you are planning to save up and fund your schooling or other academic, business or personal pursuit, we would recommend that you work for minimum of 1-3 years on a full time basis, save and concentrate on that venture.
    For a fulll-time live-in job of, say N80,000 monthly, which helps you avoid accommodation, feeding, light bill, transportation bill and other bills. You can save between N900,000 - N2,000,000 within one – there years or less! . We recommend working for a full time basis and saving up for your personal projects.
    Many employers on our platform are full-time workers, business executives and entrepreneurs, HNIs, Politicians, and more. As such, they cannot jostle or manage a part-time home care worker or domestic worker, alongside their full time jobs or businesses.

  • WILL MY MONTHLY SALARY BE PAID DIRECTLY TO ME AS A WORKER ON CORALWORKER.COM?

    All salaries and wages are paid directly to you as a worker, we do not deduct 10%, 30% , 50% or whatever % of your first, second or any month salary.
    Every penny of your salary is paid 100% directly to you.

    Full Staff of Government organisations:
    Like LATSMA, Civil Defence, Road Safety, Federal and State Government ministry workers, Government agencies and parastatals, government secondary schools and hospitals, local government secretariates etc.
    All big government or private company workers are accepted.
    Also acceptable are owners of big hospitals, very big private schools of not less than 2000 pupils. Owners of other kinds of established big private companies or businesses etc are all acceptable.
    Having 2-3 of any of the above guarantors on hand &standby, is the most important requirement to be booked for job interviews fast!
    *If you have just 2 guarantors who are civil servants, working in government offices.
    They will be accepted & approved fast!
    Optionally, you can provide 1 civil servant and 2 business owners/ Traders, lawyers, doctors, professional accountants etc, with fixed physically verifiable office or shop addresses.
    We "do not" accept explanations/excuses of workers not knowing anyone, being newly relocated or not having approved guarantors.

    A). ASK AROUND AND REACH OUT TO YOUR VILLAGE PEOPLE IN THIS CITY OR YOUR COMMUNITY MEMBERS. CONTACT YOUR VILLAGE MEETINGS MEMBERS WHO WORK IN SUITABLE AND APPROVED COMPANIES/ OFFICES/ MARKETS TO HELP YOU STAND AS GUARANTEE/SURETY FOR YOU TO GET JOBS.
    B). REACH OUT TO YOUR CLOSE FAMILY, IMMEDIATE AND EXTENDED FAMILY MEMBERS, YOUR NEIGHBOURS, CHURCH MEMBERS, STREET OR COMMUNITY MEMBERS ETC, TO INTRODUCE & HELP YOU FIND GUARANTORS/SURETIES.
    C). THIS IS WHAT MOST OF OUR NEW MEMBERS / WORKERS USUALLY DO TO GET GUARANTORS/ SURETIES AND LAND GOOD JOBS QUICKLY.
    D). Also, note that our field verification staff will *physically visit and confirm* all your guarantors that you will submit.
    We will visit their offices and shops for physical confirmation for just 10- 20 minutes, that's all.
    Kindly change any of your guarantors who will not accept/ permit a visit to their office or shop for physical confirmation.

    Anyone is acceptable to us, as long as it's a government worker. (Even government secondary schools, local government hospitals, Civil Defence, Road Safety, federal and state government Ministries, Secretariats..... etc.).
    *As long as he/she is a government worker, they are ACCEPTABLE TO SIGN AS YOUR GUARANTOR/ SURETY!)*.
    *(If you have only 2 guarantors and they are government workers, that is enough.)*
    *No 2* GUARANTORS WHO WORK IN BIG PRIVATE COMPANIES. EXAMPLE :*
    Dangote, MTN, floor mills, Coca-Cola, Julius Berger, Guinness, Dantata, Nestle, Flour Mills Elizade... etc. Guarantors from these types of companies are very much acceptable.
    *No.3*.
    PROFESSIONAL LAWYERS, DOCTORS ACCOUNTANTS ETC.
    All Professionals with physically verifiable offices/ locations, with memberships of their professional bodies.
    *NO.4*
    Pastors or Reverend Fathers of "Nationwide Churches.
    Like Catholic, Anglican, Baptist, ECWA, Presbyterian, Living Faith, Dunamis, Redeemed, etc, Head Imams of mosques, etc, are all accepted.
    *(Note: WE DO NOT ACCEPT- Pastors of one man/Individual private Pentecostal Churches)* *NO.5*
    TRADERS AND BIG BUSINESSMEN &WOMEN "SITUATED INSIDE POPULAR MARKETS WITH SHOP NUMBERS. E.g :* Shop No. 347 Shoe line Balogun Market Lagos, Alaba International Market, Idumota Market Lagos, Computer Village Lagos etc, Wuse Market Abuja, Garki Market Abuja, Utako Market Abuja, Banex Abuja, Emab Abuja etc, Mile Market, Obio Akpor Market Porthacourt etc.
    All the Above types of markets are ACCEPTABLE!*

    A. *GUARANTORS VERIFICATION:*
    Kindly notify your guarantors that our field verification staff will physically visit their offices & shops/locations for physical verifications/confirmation for just 10- 15 minutes, that's all.
    Verification must be done "inside" the guarantor's office / Shop/facility by our staff.
    Not on the roadside, at a junction, under a tree, or any other place outside the office or shop.
    If your guarantor is not available or refuses to be visited for verification and confirmation at his or her office or shop, change the person immediately and get an agreeable guarantor.
    ----------------------------------------- *GUARANTORS LOCATIONS :* All guarantors must reside in the same state as the worker.
    E.g if you live and work in Lagos, your guarantors must work and reside in Lagos.
    If you stay and work in Abuja, your guarantors must live and work in Abuja, same for Porthacourt etc.
    (This is for ease of physical verification/confirmation visit. (We "WILL NOT" travel out of town to verify any workers"s, guarantors).

    B. *FAKE GUARANTORS*
    DO NOT SUBMIT OR WRITE DOWN ANY "FAKE, PHYSICALLY UNAVAILABLE GUARANTOR.
    RECENTLY-TRANSFERRED OUT-OF-TOWN GUARANTORS, GUARANTORS THAT WE CANNOT VISIT OR ACCESS THEIR OFFICES BECAUSE OF THE CONFIDENTIAL NATURE OF THEIR JOBS”,
    GUARANTORS WHOSE PHONE NUMBERS DO NOT RING THROUGH, GUARANTORS WHOSE OFFICES, CO-WORKERS OR COMPANY HEADS OR HR DENY THAT THEY DO NOT WORK THERE! OR ANY OTHER WAY THAT YOU MIGHT WANT TO FALSIFY / FORGE A GUARANTOR COVERAGE.
    PER OUR COMPANY POLICY,
    WE WILL BLACKLIST YOU FOR ANY FAKE OR FALSIFIED GUARANTOR SUBMITTED, AND NOTIFY OTHER HR COMPANIES TO BEWARE OF YOU
    KINDLY SUBMIT "ONLY GENUINE AND VERIFIABLE GUARANTORS"
    GUARANTORS THAT WE DO NOT ACCEPT :
    GUARANTORS WITH SMALL-SMALL SHOPS, OR GUARANTORS WHO WORK IN SMALL-SMALL COMPANIES.
    We do not accept your fellow nannies, cleaners, painters, barber, electrician, security man, plumber etc as guarantors or sureties.

  • WHAT HAPPENS IF I DO NOT HAVE THE REQUIRED APPROVED GUARANTORS ?

    As much as we would love to on-board every worker, If you do not have approved, acceptable and qualified guarantors |sureties, we will not accept and approve your job seeker profile & file.
    If you do not have guarantors in your current city where you live now , you can ask around and contact your village brothers and sisters in your former city where you live. People who work in government offices or approved big private companies to help and guarantee you.
    You can also ask family members and loved ones back home in your home state or village to refer you to a responsible and approved village person from same village that can guarantee you. To enable you find work in the new city where you live now.
    This is very simple , It’s what most newly relocated workers or candidates who do not have guarantors do. If you submit guarantors | sureties, and anyone of them refuses to be physically visited for verification or confirmation as some guarantors do and refuse office verification , kindly change that guarantor immediately.

  • Are all workers guarantors/ Sureties, physically visited and verified?

    All candidates guarantors | sureties as at date of verifications are physically confirmed.
    Guarantors, sureties addresses and offices are “physically verified” and documented by our field staff and filed.
    After you hire your ideal candidate, you can request for a copy of your chosen worker’s file for your records afterwards, to enable you know more about your newly hired staff.

    No , Candidates| workers are direct employees of whichever employer hires them. The employer who pays their salaries directly monthly.

  • WHO IS LIABLE IN SITUATIONS WHERE THE HIRED WORKER STEALS OR COMMITS OTHER KINDS OF CRIME WHILE UNDER EMPLOYMENT ?

    All candidates have provided verified guarantors and sureties who have signed to be legally liable for the actions and inactions of the candidates that they have provided guarantor coverage on.
    All employers and third parties will refer to these Guarantors/ Sureties as being liable to provide these candidates as-needed , throughout their employment tenure.
    Request for your candidate’s file to reach out to their guarantors/ sureties and acquaint yourself with them .
    Download, print and save your worker’s files for your filing and records.

  • IS IT SAFE TO HIRE DOMESTIC, HOME -CARE WORKERS ON CORALWORKER.COM?
    I DON’T WANT SOMEONE WHO STEALS, I WANT A GOD-FEARING WORKER.


    Stealing and such criminal behaviors are character traits. There is no way to ascertain who will steal in the future or in two years time. Even banks do not know that some of their workers will steal from them or commit fraud in future during their recruitment processes.
    But, we have put various checks and verifications processes in place to mitigate such situations.
    We have only had about 7 of such incidences in about 8 years of operations and they were ALL apprehended.
    We conduct basic checks and verifications on users on our platform depending on the workers verification stage.
    Checks such as previous employers checks, , basic medicals, 2-3 approved and verified guarantors checks, police criminal history, address checks and more.
    There is nothing like too much of security and background checks. . You can perform further security checks, but users on the platform have undergone basic checks and verifications.

    If you are a candidate and several employers/companies complain about you, we will BLACKLIST your profile without recourse to losses suffered.
    Same applies to employers who mistreat workers in an inhumane way.
    If several candidates complain about you as an employer, we will BLACKLIST your profile / account and block your access to more workers.
    This is a safe space for all parties and we intend to keep it so.

  • What if I was invited for an interview with a potential employer for the first time ?
    How do I go about this ?

    Request for the interview date, location, time and address, Get full employers names and details, and send these details to 2 or 3 of your family members or loved ones before going out for the interview.
    (Ensure that you do this )
    Do not go to any address that is vague and not clearly written out.
    Only go to Employers with fixed location and addresses.
    Addresses with exact House or Plot number, street name and area.
    Example :
    Mrs Mercy Akan Hassan,
    Plot 313 Toyin Ibrahim Street , Lekki, Lagos state.
    Do not accept interview requests from any employer who refuses to disclose their full address, or asks you to meet them at a strange location or a junction. Or insists that they will only tell you the address when you get to their junction.
    If you are not comfortable with their request , ask to meet with them in an oopen and public place like Mr Biggs, KFC , ShopRite etc.
    If you are comfortable with them after the first meeting, you can them proceed to meet with them at their house on another day.
    You can also get someone to go along with you and wait for you outside.

  • WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A LIVE IN DOMESTIC STAFF AND A LIVE-OUT DOMESTIC STAFF ?

    a) Live-in workers are those who reside on full time basis within the premises of the employer. Live in workers are usually more convenient for employers because they do not arrive late to work and are easily reachable any time of the day. For workers, being a live-in staff also helps you save money for personal plans, your education , personal projects, other plans and ambitions, easier and faster. Saving money is faster as feeding, accommodation and transportation is eliminated.
    b) Live-out workers are those who come from their homes daily . Most come from their homes by 7:00am everyday and close in the evenings around 6pm back to their individual houses.
    People who do not like much interference or the presence of third parties in their houses especially during resting hours in the evening; usually prefer Live out workers.
    This is mostly ideal for employers or families who do not want workers presence in their houses during quiet hours in the evening. Employers such as singles who need workers for only Saturday cleaning or few days per week., employers without kids, employers with small families, families with grown up kids or people who do not want workers on a full time full-time
